Client stuck at "Checking for updates"

I am stuck in this loop. This was a problem long ago and you didn't even bother to fix. I just found a loop hole for it by reinstalling it and run client through the installer until now. It won't run anymore.

try running as administrator. we are working on a new launcher so you will not have these problems.
